The Merck Young Investigator Award is awarded to encourage young investigators to undertake or continue hypertension research and participate in the conference. A travel award permits a young investigator to present research orally or in poster format and to engage in discussion with senior investigators. The candidates are young investigators (MD or PhD), fellows in training, and academicians who hold an academic rank no higher than that of instructor at the time of submission of an abstract. Each awardee (up to 10) receives $1,000.
