Hypertension Electronic Pages

Hypertension Online Only

February 2000

Edward D. Frohlich, MD, Editor-in-Chief

*    Introduction

The Scientific Publishing Committee has approved Hypertension to receive a limited number of electronic pages. These electronic pages will be used to help increase the number of referenceable pages for the journal by allowing us to publish Editorials, Letters to the Editors and their respective responses, Scientific Contributions, and other materials online. Thus, Hypertension Online material will be indexed in Index Medicus, MEDLINE, and PubMed. Each item of material will also be featured in the Table of Contents on the cover, denoted by a green star, as well as in the Table of Contents within the journal, denoted by the letter e in front of the page number. In addition, the editors are pleased to introduce this new feature with hope that this new mode of rapid communication will bring more peer-reviewed and priority reports to our readers and fellow investigators. We refer you to our editorial and first online only article by Carlson et al as well as our introductory commentary that explains why the authors agreed to publish in this manner. Hypertension is available online at http://www.hypertensionaha.org.
