Aug 13–17: Scientific Conference on Molecular Mechanisms of Growth, Death, and Regeneration in the Myocardium. Snowbird, Utah. The focus of this scientific conference is the intersection between growth and death processes in the healthy and diseased heart. Topics of discussion will include differentiation of cardiac cells, cardiac hypertrophy, regulators of ischemic myocardial damage, preconditioning, heart failure, apoptosis and its relationship to disease processes, myocardial regeneration, and stem cells. Sept 23–26: 57th Annual Fall Conference and Scientific Sessions of the Council for High Blood Pressure Research in association with the Council on Kidney in Cardiovascular Disease. Washington, DC.
